Learning about horsemanship is a constant process.  Sometimes we learn from

experience--those barn trials that help develop our skills as equestriennes.  We also learn

from reading, and we do our best to apply the knowledge we've gained from our favorite

books.  And we take lessons from those who are more knowledgeable than ourselves.

Specifically, we have been working in the specialized discipline of dressage.

The word dressage is a French word that means training.  In dressage, we

learn to ride the horse without in any way diminishing his natural movement.

At Angel Creek Stables, we are especially lucky to study with premier

dressage instructor Sherry Guess.  Like Sherry, we believe in

continuing education to better our horses.  And better ourselves.
