In 30 years as a dressage instructor and trainer, Sherry Guess has trained horses and riders from first time under saddle to Grand Prix.

Sherry is a USDF “L” program judge and USDF bronze medalist.

Sherry was a participant in six USDF instructor seminars with Major Anders Lindgren, as well as riding in clinics with him for 10 years.  She was also a participating instructor in Sally Swift’s Instructor Program and Alumni Program for Centered Riding Instructors.  Sherry trained for seven years with Dennis Callin; four years with Mette Rosencrantz; and has participated in clinics with Beth Baumert, Lilo Fore, and Steffen Peters, among others.

Before moving to Oklahoma, Sherry was active in the California Dressage Society.  As an executive board member, she was educational chairman, and continues to be a member of their Association of Professional Trainers and Instructors (APTI) participating in a variety of educational opportunities.

Sherry was instrumental in introducing Mary Wanless to the United States, and has ridden and participated in APTI Instructor Training with Wanless for more than 15 years.

In Oklahoma, she has served as an executive board member for the Oklahoma Dressage Society for three years and president for two years.  Sherry has also been chairman of the United States Dressage Federation’s GMO Council for the last nine years and serves on the USDF membership committee.

Currently, Sherry gives clinics in Arkansas, California, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
